why do we get vulvovaginal candidiasis?
i am not a sexually active person and i have been checking my sugar count once in a month. And it really worries me why I get the infection repeatedly after a dose of diflucan. After my menstruation, I notice that the infection repeats again.Help!

This is another name for yeast infection, and diflucan is an anti-yeast drug. You should consult your doctor that the medication is no longer working.
It’s not anything you get from being sexually active. It’s a build up of yeast. Yeast is found naturally in your vagina, but it also grows in warm, moist, dark places. What happens is, your outer layer of skin breaks down and causes yeast overgrowth. There’s really not a whole lot you can do. Some women actually have chronic yeast infections.
