For some reason, my pelvis area smells extremely bad…even directly after I take a shower. I’ve come to the conclusion that it is a fungal infection and NOT and STD because of the fact that I’ve never had sexual intercourse. I’m 16 y/o btw.
OK here’s my questions:
1) What’s the difference between a fungal and bacterial infection? How do I know which one I have?
2) What creams/ treatments are available at a local drugstore to fix this problem? I really don’t feel like telling my parents or going to the doctor. I’d like to use those options as a last resort.
Also, I take showers daily. Do NOT suggest taking a shower.

DR didnt explain how it came about, how was the fungal infection caused, would the white furry tongue be the only symptom of this?
She definately hardly drinks any water, but she seems to have always had a white tongue, so never really thought much about it, till she visited DR.From the answers received, u all more or less say the same thing, so must be.
well basically i went to the doctors as i had developed pink/orange patches on my side that were mildly itchy, and he told me it was a fungal infection and prescribed me some tablets called terbinafine.. a couple days after i started taking um however, my hands and feet appeared to develop loads of little white tiny blisters/lumps, especially inbetween my fingers and toes. i thought i was having an allergic reaction to the tablets as i’d never had anything like that before and only just got it since i’d started taking the medicine. after another day it started to get quite severe, got rly itchy and felt like constant nettle stings and my fingers swollen up so i couldnt bend them.. so i went back to the doctors who told me that again it was a fungal infection, sort of like athlete’s foot but on my hand aswel. he recommended that i get some cream for it to soothe it, but so far it doesn’t seem to be doing the trick and is getting worse.. im rly in pain with my fingers and my feet, and it’s embarassing for me. is there anything i can do ? and is my doctor right about the fungal infection ?
its kind of white and it causes my skin to peel or forms circles it sometimes goes ways but comes back it itches too.scary!!
do u think its a good idea… i also have to alternate the shampooing with candid tv every 3 days. i also used to have a lot of hairloss earlier.
The Dr.s are being very hush hush, he was never on any meds while in the HIV stage…but is now very sick. My employer needs dates in order for me to get time off of work and I’m curious just how much longer my brother may live, if anyone has dealt with this…please help!

A few months ago I noticed a group of dark patches and circle marks towards the middle of my back and on my lower back. I asked my doctor what it was and he said it was a fungal infection. My question is how likely is this? (I feel as though my doctor was just giving me an answer without really checking. He’s been known to misdiagnose people…a lot.) So, does anyone else think this could be the answer? If so, what are good ways of getting rid of it?
