I don’t know if I have one, but i have yellowy-green discarge and i mean sometimes there is so much that it soaks through. & there are these weird black specs in my discharge too. The smell is horrible, realllly strong fishy odor, and sometimes I am itchy down there. Also is there a way if i had it that I could treat it without going to the doctor, I have a fear of the doctors and would like to avoid it but I will go if I need to. & is a yeast infection fatal? Please no mean answers…

I’m 21 and I was just at the doctor’s today. I’ve never had a yeast infection before but my doctor told me that the anitbiotics I just finished have given me a yeast infection. She gave me a 1 day treatment and advised that I pick up a 7 day pack of monistat. What am I to expect while trying to cure this? I’ve heard it like "runs" out of you? My insurance company is trying to dispute a bill because I had a yeast infection. They’re claiming it’s a pre-existing condition! WTF!!! A yeast infection? It’s not like that is some serious condition that I knew about. I went to the doctor and found out I had one. What a rip off!

I’m not having sex for some time now but I am feeling like I want it so I plan to masturbate. I’ve had this yeast infection for about 11 days now, sometimes it "seems" to go away if I drink lots of fluids. Today I used the yogurt remedy and the smell and discomfort disappeared for awhile.

Do you have to have discharge for it to be a yeast infection? There is itching and burning (the burning happens when urine passes over the sensitive area) but no discharge or unusual odor. I have had both both but I never really understood the difference. A bladder infection obviously affects your bladder opposed to your urinary tract and the UTI affects the urinary tract. How do the symptoms differ? Are they both treated the same way? Thanks
