You get fungus infection by picking up fungus left by other people. You should always wear some type of shower shoes, carry your own towel (which you’ve laundered at home both before and after use), and not leave clothes and towel on surface that my not be clean.
on your feet? because if it was on your feet, its because your bare feet are touching the shower floor, and people with fungus were also barefooted on that floor. try watershoes. if its on your feet anyway. :]
Where is the infection, if its on your feet is atheletes foot, very common, try wearing sandals, if it is somewhere else as your doctor, spores dont float around in the air they could be transfered by water, it depends where the infection is.
Nail fungus infection is common. You can get it from coming into contact with other infected toes in public areas such as the gym or pool. Or you can even develop it on your own if your feet sweat a lot and you’re not wearing the proper socks! Cottons socks retain moisture from your feet instead of wicking it off like synthetic socks. So stop wearing cotton! But I still suggest that you see your doctor and he/she will give you a diagnose. Don’t worry, it’s totally treatable!
Do you take the time to dry off properly at the gym? You know what fungus likes, warm, cozy, damp places to grow. I bet you take more time to dry off properly at home.
Also, you could be picking it up from your towel, or the bench, if you sit on one to change clothes.
Try a little "Gold Bond" type powder there, after you shower at the gym.
My Son and Husband sometimes have this problem. The gym doesn’t disinfect the benches and showers after every customer, so…….
But, there aren’t fungus spores in the air. It is something you are coming in contact with. Or again, you’re not doing a thorough job of drying off.
