Red, irritating, itchy rash on face?
Hi,
For the last 4 months or so I’ve been having a reoccuring rash on my face. It’s always in the same place: just beside my nose.
I’ll try to explain it as best i can. It’s red, itchy, irritatting, flaky, scab like appearance to it. I think it may be a form of eczema. I’ve been using Nizoral cream (w/ ketoconazole) It works, and after a few days the rash has gone but it keeps coming back every few weeks.
Thanks all for your answers. I’ve been to my doctor about it, he said it’s a form of eczema. I’ve been using the cream he prescribed for me. I use it, it goes away then it comes back again. usually in a 3 week period. I keep my face clean, I wash it daily using a soap free face wash and mositurizer ( loreal for men kind)
I think I’ll go see a dermatologist about it. Who said it was aids? lol

but if it has been bothering you for a while and doesn’t stay away, it would be best to ask your pharmacist or if no help comes from there, go see a Dr. Four months is quite a while to have it there. Have you tried just applying a moisturiser on that spot on a regular basis? It could just be a very dry area. Our faces mostly are a combination of dry and oily areas, very few of us have an all over skin type, such as dry, normal or oily.
When you wash your face, try to wash that particular area with just plain water. I had a similar problem where soap was irritating just a small section of the skin on my face, almost like it was drying it out.
Could be AIDS man…
Skin conditions are very hard to diagnose without really watching them. You should go to a dermatologist.
