I’ve been on antibiotics for 3 weeks trying to get rid of my mastitis and now just as its healed, my sons got thrush. My doctor prescribed nystatin for my nipples and his bum, but is it ok if the nystatin cream (not ointment) gets in his mouth? in pain… help!
I got thrush from a recent dose of antibiotics.
A day or two ago, I started taking clotramizole mouth paint for it. I apply it after every meal.
I am still getting new thrush spots on my tongue.
How long will it take for this to go away?
Also, I am negative for HIV & blood sugar disorders / diabetes.
Shes terribly itchy all the time, she has skin and fur discoloration, and she smells like a dead fish when she gets hot. She burps a lot too, though that might be cause shes a dog…
She has no health problems, no stress in her life, and for the last three months I have been feeding her "wolf king" grain free food (she dosent like the grain free foods much, and wolf king smells like oregano or something, I dont reccomend it -and neither does she!) She has no fleas, and any allergens that might have been around have been taken care of - unless she’s alergic to people I guess.
None of this has helped.
The stupid Vet has been giving her prednisone and antibiotics since she was a puppy. I almost punched him in the eye when I found out about this, because shes not sick, nor has she ever been! He said it was "good preventative maintenace"
I assume that she has candida, since she has all the symptoms and has been on steroids and antibiotics for two years.
What do I do?
OK, more info here…
I feed her yougurt, 2 tbsp of plain every day.
Wolf king was recommended for her problems. the three main ingredients are elk, venison, and sweet potatoes. it has 6 types of yougurt cultures and trace minerals and lots of veggies in it as well. (still smells like herbs though…)
I bathe her every other day or so with sulfodene (vet recommendation)
As far as the vet goes, he’s history. Ill never take her back to him. Funny thing though, I took her to a different vet friday and he wanted to give her antibiotics and prednisone. (I think most vets are like most doctors - they give you whatever the drug companies tell them to give you, regardless of the symptoms.)
I just read about how oral thrush can develop when people take antibiotics, and I’m curious how long this takes to happen. The balance of everything in life is kind of amazing.
Due to antibiotics and prednisone, I have developed ORAL thrush. My doctor prescribed lozenges but they make me vomit. Does anyone have any natural (or not natural) ways to cure this terrible condition? My doctor told me my only choices are the lozenges or the "swish and swallow" stuff. Thank you all so much!!
Hi-dose antibiotics aren’t working for me. I have Mycoplasma and Chlamydia Pneumonias (at a "cellular/cryptic" level), Candidiasis and Epstien-Barr Virus. My blood level (titers) have gotten worse, even after a 3-month treatment with Zithromax, Valtrex and Diflucan. I’ve been having alot of pain and stiffness and am very sick/dysfunctional. Currently being treated at a specialty center for Fibro and Fatigue. This is causing me much emotional and financial stress. Suppose I should see an Infectious Disease specialist? If so, any suggestions on a physician of that type in the Akron, Ohio area?
I had thrush and used the Canestan 6 day cream, and it went away for a couple of days, but now it’s back. I don’t understand why as I am not on antibiotics, and I don’t wear bad underwear, and my hygiene is good. I don’t use harsh soaps either. I can’t afford anymore treatments for a month so what can I do? I can’t use yogurt either because of my strong beliefs. I have heard vinegar helps. Is this true?
Is there any cure for candidiasis and is there any connection with the gut parasites and bacterias. Are they in any way associated with autism. Is autism cured by antibiotics
Doctor cant find bacteria and prostate is not swollen but he is going by my symptoms. Symptoms got worse after starting antibiotics and the follow still didn’t show swelling. I notice my symptoms also line up with yeast infection symptoms even those not dealing with urinary issues. Should i bring this up when i go back for my check up?
I cant afford to see a doctor. At first i thought it was eczama but i heard it could be a fungal infection. I have itchy bumps and when its bad my skin hardens and cracks on my palms and between my fingers. A friend recommended amoxcicillin that you can get from a pet store. Ive taken it for about 6 days now and it helped my skin from cracking but there still red and starting to itch bad. How many and how long should i take the antibiotics before it clears??
