i had this intense itch, redness n whitish-yellowish discharge a few months ago, after a few days it subsided. i hope that it would eventually go away, but after months, the whitish-slightly yellowish discharge still remains, though the itching only occurs when the discharge accumulate too much in my underwear. otherwise, minimal itching, the swelling is not there too. i think it has gotten quite mild, but i wanted it to disappear completely.

after i went to see a gynae, he told me it’s most probably vaginal candidiasis and gave me a 150mg fluconazole(diflucan) tablet. it’s been two days now since i’ve taken it. how long will it take to clear up? what are the signs that the infection is receding? (remember my infection is not so serious) and how many days should i wait before i go to see the doctor again if it does not clear up?

I’m a medical student, have a pen-torch which i use with a mirror to see into my vagina. today there are still patches of whitish mucus in my vaginal, how long will it take for it to clear up?
it just happened out of the blue, not on any contraceptives pills or anything like that. 1 150mg fluconazole tablet is supposedly enough for vaginal candiasis( written on the information paper of the tablet)

I have a case of ringworm that was not responsive to over a month of treatment with Ketoconazole cream. Since the cream failed my doctor prescribed Diflucan. It has been 3 days and the spots are getting bigger, and more inflamed. How long should this take??? Shouldn’t they be getting better???

I’ve had Candidiasis for like 3 yrs now and I’m running out of options. I also have Leaky Gut Syndrome due to my condition. Please give me serious advice, and if you don’t know what Candidiasis is, don’t respond please. I need serious answers only. I’m scared and I feel so hopeless because normal meds like Diflucan have done nothing for me.

Hello, I’ve come on here for some help. I have oral candidiasis, I just recently got it. the only thing i can remember that i would have got it from is from a Z pack i took because i was sick. but instead of taking just 3 i split them up into halves and took 6 total. over 6-7 days.

I was wondering how long does oral candidiasis last? ive ate alot of yogurt and ive taken asodopholius, or whatever thats called. for normal biota.

I took a diflucan about 6-7 days ago. and im not sure if its helping yet. because there really wasnt any white patches at that point because i caught it early. right now i only have the white patches at the back of my tongue and the underside of my tongue is colored slightly white. please help?

I have been bothered with a "lump in my throat" (feels like phlegm) since last April. I’ve had a barium swallow, tonsilectomy, sinus surgery, etc. The barium swallow proved negative for AR. I went to a different ENT and he said I have a fungus in my throat. I was on Diflucan for 4 weeks. I go back to the doctor next week to get checked. The feeling is back (although it never completely went away.) I’ve been to internal medicine, GI, and 2 ENT’s. At times it feels like my throat swells up–and it seems like maybe it’s after I eat certain things like peanuts/peanut butter, chocolate, or cheese. Does anyone have any ideas for me? I would appreciate any help your suggestions you can give.

Are they both dermatophytes. Can both be treated with Diflucan and both with Lamsil? If not which one is which

I was on antiobiotics for over a year to treat acne. After completing this, I developed oral thrush due to probable overuse of the antibiotics. My doc put me on nystatin which worked for a while but i recently had a flareup and some intestinal issues, which makes us think I might have a systemic candida infection. He has once again proscribed nystatin and now diflucan. Have people had success with this?

i am not a sexually active person and i have been checking my sugar count once in a month.And it really worries me why I get the infection repeatedly after a dose of diflucan. After my menstruation, I notice that the infection repeats again.Help!

I caught candidiasis from my ex 4 months ago, the doc gave me 1 diflucan pill and canesten (clotrimazol) to put on my glans for 1 week. I did as he said and all the symptoms went away.
2 months ago I started having moderate chest/lung pain which made me go to the hospital several times, diagnosed with
anxiety disorder that would go away with some prozac. I also did a x-ray and an ecg which accused nothing. I’ve also have shortness of breath, headaches, congested nose and the described chest/lung pain stills here.
Today, i noticed that horrible red spots that i had from candidiasis 4 months ago were in my glans again, and i figured that maybe my treatment wasn’t so successful after all because there was still some redness after i ended the treatment. I also performed fellatio on the girl that got me candidiasis.
Is it possible that candidiasis is the responsible for my chest pain and the other symptoms? If so what shall i do? Can it spread from the genitals to other organs?
