I have a persian kitten aged 3 months old. He was said to have a fungal infection last week by a local Vet and after just 4 days of medication he has many bald patches now. Is this normal?Has anyone got a simlar situation with their pets ever before?Would like to know what your experiences were…..soo wooried here.

I was recently perscribed Ketoconazole 2% cream for jock itch and it says on the information leaflet "Do not apply this medication in the eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina." My concern is if I can have sex with my girlfriend after this cream is applied or not? Since the area the cream is on would be near/in her vagina or mouth even though I’m not exactly "applying" it to them. Any help would be great. Thanks.

For the past five-six days, i’ve been having major discomfort. I’ve been to the doctors twice within the past week and a half and I was prescribed a medication for a yeast infection the first time, but nothing cleared up, so i went back. This time she just checked and told me i looked fine, but gave me a Ketoconazole cream. She thinks my swelling and discomfort is from recently using dryer sheets since i’ve never used them before and possibly a change of soap. I recently bought dove unscented bar soap and stopped using dryer sheets. However, today I realized that I started swelling up again and am still very sensitive with my clit. It also does sometimes hurt when i urinate, but the doctor told me i didn’t have a uti, when my pee test came back normal. I’m all stressed out and I just want it to go away. I’m even late for my period, which hardly ever happens.
Also, I haven’t had sex in two years. And i’m also 18 years old, so I have no idea why this is happening to me.

For the past 2 weeks, my hamster’s skin has been flaky and a little reddish, he’s also dropping fur and has a weird odor. I brought it to the vet a week ago and she says that it has an yeast infection. What is it and what causes it? She did skin scrapping and prescribed my hamster with Bacidin to clean the affected areas, and a cream, as well as an oral medication called Ketoconazole. However, my hamster still seems to be itching all the time and there seems to be little improvement. Is there anything i can do to aid my hamster’s recovery? : (

It started sixteen years ago when I smashed by left big toenail with a croquet mallot while attempting to euthenize my gerbil. Two years later it spread to under my fingernails, and now it’s all over my butt and belly-button, which is an "innie."

It’s fun to pick the flakes, but I haven’t had a date since Ronald Reagan was president. Does anybody have any home remedies, health-food store cures, or voodoo that can get rid of this stuff? I’m scared of doctors and I live in the US so I can’t afford prescription medication. I have to be in a nude ballet for my Glee Club homecoming next month and I’d like to clear it up before then.

I’m almost about to loose my mind over this. Its been almost a year. I started out with really bad itching and white discharge. After a while the discharge went away but the itching did not. I went to my gyno and he told me that if looks like an infection gave me some treatment (vagina suppositories, and some medication to take orally). I ddint feel any itching while i was taking the medication but as soon as i stopped the itching returned.
I went to another doctor a couple more times she gave my diflucan and flagyl.I went to another doctor just recently and he told me that it looks like some type of fungus…..He game me Ketoconazole and flagyl…
It seemed to be working but as soon as i finished taking it i started itching. I’ve been in doctor’s office almost every month for almost a year. And still no relif…I was tested for clamidya,HIV and some other STI’s everything came back normal. What can this be?

I havent had sex since before I started itching and I dont intend to until this goes away..but what can this be?

I want to know the medication, Natural cure methods for nail fungus infections

I have tried many different remedies and still it persists. I do watch my diet as this is a major factor but it’s hard to keep on that diet -you basically cannot eat anything fatty, full of sugar, fruit, etc. Is there anyone out there that suffers from the same thing and did you find a good medication that really worked for you??

About 2 years ago, I rescued a little Shih Tzu with quite a few medical problems. She has epilepsy, which is now under control.. but her worst problems are her re-occurring yeast infections & skin allergies.

My vet and I have exhausted all of our options. She’s on a very specialized diet..which has pretty much eliminated her skin allergies.. but I can’t seem to beat the yeast infections and it’s driving me crazy.
I do a yeast-controlling, medicated shampoo bath a few times a week..which helps very temporarily.

So far, the only thing that has worked is the medication ketoconazole. However, my dog can only take this medication for extreme flare-ups as, paired with the phenobarbital for her seizures, is quite hard on her little liver.

Any ideas or suggestions are VERY much appreciated. I’m at a loss here.

I was daignosed with it like 3 years ago and the Doctor precribed ketoconazole shampoo 2% and fluocinonide acetonide topical solution and while i was on the medication there was hair growth but i used henna and it reacted badly which caused discoloration and losing any hair that i gained..So my question is..is it still possible i can see hair growth? and plz dont copy past anything from wikipedia or other websites
