I’ve been fighting these red little flaky spots all over my body for a couple months now. the doctor tells me its fungal, and i believe him, except i dont think its ringworm because its not in a ring. just red spots that grow and flake. it first showed up as one localized spot a year ago, but after going to the doctor, i got medicine, and it went away, now, a summer later, its back but with fury. its ALL over my body… my doctor gave me medicine to apply to EACH spot until they disappeared, but since its all over my body it was not only impractical, but impossible to find every spot and medicate it twice a day… so i gave up on the cream and now its spreading like wild fire. i just ordered some tea tree oil and soap that i can blindly apply everywhere… will that work since i cant very well go on a scavenger hunt everyday for these spots? Help me, i’m being taken over by this infection!
About the cream, sorry to sound misleading, its definitely fungal because the cream IS effective in making the individual spots go away, both this summer and last, but it isnt effective at getting rid of the infection as a whole. because there are so many spots, if i miss even one, the infection will continue to spread. Plus, they’re not all that itchy, in fact they dont bother me other than that theyre growing everywhere and its freaking me out. So that makes me think its neither eczema or psoriasis. thank you though!

Its been bothering me for 15 years without complete cure by conventional medicine.
I have strep and a sinus infection/cold right now and I would love to have some advice as to what to do to help cure the sinus infection without getting medicine perscribed from a doctor as I already have some for the strep. If anyone could give me some advice that would be lovely, thank you.
About a month ago my ear drum ruptured and was very infected, so the doctor prescribed antibiotics. The antibiotics didn’t work, and the doctor I just recently went to said they also caused a fungal infection. He prescribed antibiotics (drops and a pill) and antifungal medicine (generic lamisil drops and a pill). The lamisil drops are not meant for the ear, and he said that they would hurt because my eardrum is still perforated. But they make my throat burn and turn it bright red. I’d call the doctor and ask, but I don’t think he’s open on Sunday. He said if I started to feel better I could stop taking the antibiotics, but I could not stop taking the antifungal medicine. Is something wrong here?
My Albino Corydora I believe has a fungal infection on mouth. It is Fuzzy and he is stressed from being sucked up the filter. twice. so all signs point to that. am i correct? and what medicine is the best buy?
I’ve been "hacking up mucus" for 6 months, and my mom finally took me to the doctor for an xray. My whole right sinus is all filled up. I’m taking a sickining medicine, which takes about two weeks to work, but this one is a chronia sinus infection. I am 11 years old. I am also taking nasal spray. How long will this go away in? Do I need surgrey? Sorry, i’m a hypocondriac!
Our Labrador dog is very sensitive to skin fungal infection. For two years ,it has been to clinic to get medicine from vet very often almost every two months. When stop antifungal drug (normally 1 month of treatment), the skin problem come up again. Please kindly suggest and help.
I have a holland lop who is 4 years old. Her apetite has always been great, but she has had an excessive urination problem for 2 months now and she has had no fur around her butt, hind legs, and tail. So, I took her to see a vet who prescribed me an antibiotic called "sulfadimet 50mg"for 10 days. I gave it to her and I thought she was getting better, so I stupidly stopped it after the 4th day, and sure enough, the symptoms came back again. So, the vet prescribed me a different kind of antibiotic called "enrofox 27.2mg" because he had mentioned that she was already immune to the other antibiotic. I have her this one, but nothing changed. Her symptoms were still the same. She took a urine test and a blood test, both of which were very positive results. So, the vet assumed she had some fungus growing on her skin and prescribed me a medicine called "ketoconazole 200 mg" and an ointment for her skin called "conofite". I was starting to get worried and went to a vet that my friend had recommended me to, and they mentioned to me that we have to get to the "core" of the problem. We took xrays and found out that she had a spinal problem that was causing her to lose muscle, and had ulcers on her hind legs. The vet mentioned that because of this, she could be urinating on herself causing her skin to worsen. (I usually only use a shee-shee sheet in her cage. My rabbit used to use the potty bin, but ever since this problem she won’t use the potty in there anymore.) The vet figured that the skin problem arises from her sitting on the sheet (the sheet gets so soaked up with urine). So, the vet told me to continue with the antibiotics that the other vet recommended - enrofax. She also prescribed me an anti-inflammatory for her bones which will help her build muscle - luckily, she didn’t have arthiritis.
I am getting very scared and am wondering if I should stick to the vet that I changed to.
It’s been 4 days since I started the antibiotic - enrofox, but I haven’t seen much change. Should I be patient and wait until the effects start kicking in? Or, will it ever kick in? Does it take this long for an antibiotic to work?
I also recently got a dog about 5 months ago and am not sure if this affected the way my rabbit reacted. The vet recommended that I put soft cushioing in her cage for now so that the ulcers on her soles won’t hurt as much. It’s exactly what I did. I’m just very worried and can’t really focus on my work. Does anybody who may have experienced something like this have any advice? I would certainly appreciate it.
I have a spot of tinea versicolor on my back. (It’s a fungal infection that causes the spot of skin to lose its pigmentation). I have tried treating it with selenium sulfide dandruff shampoo, but that didn’t seem to have any effect on it. My doctor prescribed Nizoral (ketoconazole) pills to try to treat it orally — however, the Nizoral has a lot of possible side effects, and you have to sweat when you take it in order to get the medicine to your skin. So I’m a little worried about starting the Nizoral treatment. However, I want to get rid of this before I get my summer tan, because tanning makes it really show up (since that patch of skin doesn’t tan).
Has anyone had this? Did you cure it? How did you cure it? If you took Nizoral, did you have any side effects, and did it work? Thanks!
