I can feel some embossed gland kind of thing just at the origin of my penis. this problem started a few days back. last year too i had the same problem in the same season, seems that its happning in summers because of presence of more moisture as compaired t other seasons . I spend my whole day in normal summer temperature (no AC). is that a fungal infection? i feel some itching also in the same area. sometime blood comes with white liquid. Please suggest me some treatment. Thanks!

A little under a week ago, I started getting red painless red spots on the tip of my penis. I only received oral sex for the first time a little under a year ago. I have not had vaginal intercourse. I went to urgent care and he said it did not look like an STD and it probably wasn’t. He said it was a yest infection because I washed my penis to much and it washed away all the good fungus or something like that. I am uncircumcised. Then he prescribed me Ketoconazole. I got tested for STD’s that day, just to be on the safe side, for my future reference. The spots are starting to go away…So what does this sound like? Im just curious, until the test results.

Recently I had a yeast infection, I treated it with the Monistat pack, now my boyfriend has small red bumps on his penis. Is this a common result of my having a yeast infection or does it sound like something different? Also, have can he be treated so we aren’t passing it back and forth to one another?

My 6 year old son is not circumsized, and has never had any previous problems, but yesterday when giving him a bath my husband noticed that the tip of his penis is very red. What should we do to help clear the infection? We obviously already reiterated the need to keep it clean to him, and showed him how again, but I don’t know how long it is supposed to take to clear up. Any experience with this?

It is like a dry white flaky..not moist and it is on the side of the penis not the tip…and it is easily irritated and then becomes red or sore. I’ve had it awhile…Id like to try something before I see a doctor..maybe monistat??

so i’ve got a 16 month old boy and he has this fungal rash on and around his penis, even on his bum (and no it is not diaper rash. i checked with his doctor) now, he has prescribed nystatin, and ketoconazole cream to treat it and it still hasn’t gotten better, in fact its gotten worse..

dont tell me to go to the doctor, i already have an appointment but its not for a month..

what causes fungal infections? and how come he’s never had it before he was a year? and why is nothing helping?

i’ve tried, every type of diaper cream, every type of baby powder, yogurt, baking soda, and different diapers..

apart from sleeping, he has been running around diaperless for 3 days straight…

any suggestions?

his doctor assumed it was fungal, he didnt test it or anything.

dont tell me that i’m not cleaning him properly, i always disinfect my bathtub and bathroom and everywhere else before i let him play in anything.

you can get infections that have nothing to do with cleaniness.

My boyfriend came home from vacation with a fungus infection in the penis, and I do not know wether to believe him or not cause he has cheated on me in the past. What I want to know is how do you get a fungus infection in the penis or is this just an std he got and can he give it to me. He is taking some pills and a cream called canesten.
