When I was on the birth control pill I had bladder and yeast infections often. I’ve been off for 5 months (trying to conceive) and infection-free, but the past couple days I feel a bladder infection coming on. I’m going to the dr today, but was wondering if anyone has gotten a bladder infection at the very beginning of their pregnancy?
Before I was on the bc pill I don’t remember ever getting infections, but on the pill I was very prone to them. Thanks!
ok, so i have a yeast infection I think. But the last couple of days I have had pains in what feels like my ovaries. Now today I am starting to feel nauseus, and I have been really tired the last like 4 days and have had a shooting pain in my right breast. I don’t think I am pregnant I had my period on the Aug 7. But I have had unprotected sex in the last 2 weeks. Surely if I were to be pregnant I wouldn’t be getting these symptoms so soon.
Do yeast infections make you nauseus? I read somewhere that they don’t.
Ketoconazole 2%… for yeast infections..it’s 2010 and it expired in 2006
About 2 years ago, I rescued a little Shih Tzu with quite a few medical problems. She has epilepsy, which is now under control.. but her worst problems are her re-occurring yeast infections & skin allergies.
My vet and I have exhausted all of our options. She’s on a very specialized diet..which has pretty much eliminated her skin allergies.. but I can’t seem to beat the yeast infections and it’s driving me crazy.
I do a yeast-controlling, medicated shampoo bath a few times a week..which helps very temporarily.
So far, the only thing that has worked is the medication ketoconazole. However, my dog can only take this medication for extreme flare-ups as, paired with the phenobarbital for her seizures, is quite hard on her little liver.
Any ideas or suggestions are VERY much appreciated. I’m at a loss here.
My candida score on different tests have been very high. I’ve had yeast infections since I was 14 and they are very frequent. I’ve had all blood tests including diabetes and the doctors are baffled.
One nail started to look weird on one side now the entire thing seems to be coming unattached from the skin underneath, I can slip another fingernail way under there. Now I see two other fingers on the same thing where that is starting. I looked up fungus, yeast infections and bacterial infections. What causes this, what do I do, who should I see?
Hi, I was on extremely high doses of both steroids and antibiotics for asthma/sinus infection, and now I’ve been off both for about 3/7 days (off steroids for 3, off antibiotics for a week), but I’m pretty sure that what I’ve had is a yeast infection for a week or so. I was itchy down there, but now it stings, burns, is very red, and still itchy. I have my period as well, so I haven’t noticed any sort of discharge, but I’ve gotten yeast infections before without any discharge. My problem is that I’ve always taken Diflucan, which clears it up within 2 days, and when I took it 3 days ago, it started to feel better but now the feeling is back and worse than ever. It kind of stings when I urinate too (not like a UTI feeling, but it stings on the OUTSIDE). Can that all be just a very persistant yeast infection? Also, can hormones contribute to it too? My hormones have been a mess since the steroids. Thank you so much and sorry for the gross topic!
So here’s what I know: Candida albicans can live in the body [I'm particularly interested in learning about candida living in the digestive tract but I know it can live throughout the body]. Candida albicans can cause digestive issues, yeast infections and oral thrush. Candida can be controlled with diet, anti-fungal medications and certain treatments.
Now, what I want to know is exactly what treatments would work in successfully ridding the body of canidida albicans? Also, I have read conflicting advice about fiber and Candida. Is fiber really beneficial to people suffering from Candidiasis?
I would love to hear personal stories on how people have dealt with Candidiasis, so if you have any stories please share.
i’ve had suspicions that i might have candidiasis but don’t know where to get tested… i’d rather know for sure before i do the diet
i went to my gyno and they said they didn’t really do it. they do for yeast infections that are vaginal but that’s not really what ‘m referring to.
I’ll warn you, this is a really stupid question. Ketoconazole is a fungal medication used for yeast infections. How do you take this pill? Do you take it by mouth, or "down south?" The package did not specify and my doctor didn’t say. I want to take it this morning so it can start to help but I don’t know what to do. There’s no pharmacy open at this time of night (it’s 2am here). Help!
