How long does it take for a bladder infection to occur after having sex?
Ive recently had a bladder infection but havent had sex in about a week. I was wondering if it actually takes this long to get them, or if the bladder infection was from something else.
Sex can cause them, but not always. It can also be caused by bacteria down there as well, you can get them almost anywhere, public restrooms, etc. It is also said that you should wipe from front to back to help prevent as well. As far as I know it should take a few days for symptoms to appear. Peeing after sex can help prevent as well. Couple of times a week drink some cranberry juice, eat yogurt, these will all help treat and prevent! Good Luck
any infection needs 48 hours to appear any way if the infection is coused becouse it is transmetted through sex than you should have like a local infection then a bladder infection it is called ascending infections and it may need 1-2 weeks if you did not have an infection like in the vagina like a smelly discharge then the infection is not becouse of sex it is another couse
