What are the signs or a tract infection in a dog?
Does anyone know the signs of a urinary tract infection in female dog? At first I thought she was just in heat, but she is spayed. She is constantly rolling over on herback and licking herself, even on walks.
Does anyone know anything about this kindof stuff?
She also has a faint brownish discharge, and it seems like she is very sensitive in that area. She is an inside dog. I has been going to the bathroom less that usual.

You can look up anything like this on http://www.thepetcenter.com but if you suspect something I would say just take her to the vet ASAP. A standard visit is not that much money for your pet’s health. Things left untreated or home remedied are often causes for extensive and expensive treatments later on. You could also call your vet and tell them what’s happening and they may be able to suggest things to look for but most likely you will have to take her in to be seen.
yes!! your vet knows.
I dont think the dog has a tract infection
does she pee blood
or have trouble peeing
or does not pee
The number one indicator of a urinary tract infection is constant squatting, If she acts like she has to pee and squats, but does not go or only goes a little it is very likely that she has a UTI. However, it sounds to me like you have something different…. Something is definatly iritaiting her in that area, It could be as simple as a rash or allergies but it could also be as dangerous as skin mites or ring worm. I have to say I agree with the rest of them, you should take her into the vet to have them check it out. If your short on cash or just can’t afford it, call the vet and explain your situation. There are a lot of options out there from Free Emergency Care "grants" to a program called Care credit.
The most common signs are improper urination (going in the house when the pet has previously been house trained), frequently urinating in small amounts, or trying to pee with no result. Depending on the severity of the infection, you may see blood in the urine.
What you are describing doesn’t really sound like a UTI but I would get her in to see the vet, just to make sure that everything is o.k.
In response to the Edit, it could be a vaginal infection.
